Background Information :

Larry Blovits received his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Wayne State University in Detroit. Although educated in the heyday of the abstract expressionist, Larry’s artistic career has centered on his love for the portrait and landscape. Working in a traditional style, he has built a professional reputation exhibiting in National and International juried competitions since 1962 collection numerous awards and honors for both portraits and landscapes. His drawings and painting have been exhibited in over 100 National, International, and Regional shows, and more than 35 one-man show at museums, galleries, and universities across the US, and also in Paris, Russia, and China.

After 26 years of teaching at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Larry retired to devote full time to his love of painting portraits and landscapes, teaching workshops around the country and abroad, writing books, and judging art shows.
