Artist's Statement:

Because I make pictures and not sermons, symbolic structure is always subservient to formal structure. I work on an image for a long time, and it will go through many compositional changes and many changes in symbolic content from inception to completion. I do not expect people to read all of this in my picture. I expect my picture to engage them first on a visual level. The title is a. door through which anyone that is interested enough may pass through to the same biblical starting point, and go wherever their mind can take them.
