Artist Statement:

A lifetime of observing and loving animals has made me aware of how many people interpret the actions and personalities of their pets based on their own emotional lives. My paintings are comments on the human condition using these relationships between animals and people as metaphors for our feelings, fears, and desires. The element of mystery appeals to me and invites viewers to enter into the game by bringing their own perceptions and interpretations to each piece.
